The Crusaders increased their offensive pressure after halftime, putting six shots on target during the final 45 minutes compared with two for Mobile. Neither team, however, found a breakthrough.

William Carey nearly scored in the closing moments. With less than a minute left in regulation, Souleymane Balde headed a cross toward goal, but the Mobile goalkeeper made a save to preserve the draw.

William Carey returns to action Saturday, Sept. 19, at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, in an SSAC matchup scheduled for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
