A free online safety class is scheduled for Monday at 6:30 p.m. The class will cover current online risks and simple steps parents can take to help keep their children safe.
The Oxford Middle School PTO is partnering on the class, according to the Oxford MS Police Department’s Facebook post.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
