The William Carey women’s golf team finished tied for second at the Carey Collegiate at Canebrake Country Club after posting rounds of 312, 292 and 309.
Taamtond Nivasananda led William Carey after the opening round with a 3-over-par 75. Kenley Archer and Nawaporn Kompoj were tied for ninth, while Gracelyn Cooley finished just outside the top 10.

William Carey moved into second place in the second round with a 4-over-par 292. Nivasananda improved by three strokes to move into the individual top five, while Archer and Sirikorn Anantathanasarn each shot 73. Archer ended the round tied for seventh, and Anantathanasarn moved into 10th.
In the final round, Nivasananda shot 77 to finish tied for fifth. Cooley moved into the top 10 after a 4-over-par round, and Anantathanasarn finished tied for 10th. Alejandra Esteban placed 14th, Archer tied for 15th and Kompoj tied for 22nd.
The Lady Crusaders are scheduled to return to competition Monday, Oct. 5, at the NAIA National Preview in Dalton, Georgia. Dalton State will host the event at Dalton Country Club.
