Corrections

To report a possible error in a Mississippi News Group article, email editor@socialnewsms.com with the subject “Correction request,” or use our contact form. You can also call 662-837-9088.

What to include

  • The article’s web address and headline.
  • The statement you believe is incorrect and the proposed correction.
  • Documents or links that support your request, and a way to contact you if more information is needed.

Corrections and updates

Correction requests go to the newsroom for assessment against the available source material. A request does not automatically change or remove an article. When a material factual error is corrected, the article should include a correction note explaining what changed. New information may instead be identified as an update; minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a note.

These requests also cover AI-assisted source summaries. Automated checks can miss errors, and readers can flag incorrect names, dates, quotations, attribution or other details through the same contact channel.
