Jackson State tennis teams to host JSU Tiger Invite

Jackson State’s men’s and women’s tennis teams will open the fall portion of their seasons by hosting the JSU Tiger Invite at the JSU Tennis Center in Jackson on Sept. 11-12.

Doubles play is scheduled to begin Friday at 9 a.m., followed by women’s singles at 10 a.m. and men’s singles at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament will use a round-robin format. Men’s and women’s doubles will each be divided into four flights, while singles competition will be divided into eight flights.

The field includes Alcorn State, Co-Lin, Dillard and Mississippi Christian.

Jackson State’s men’s team has eight athletes, including four returners and four newcomers. The women’s team also has eight athletes, with seven returners and one newcomer.
