The Jackson State men’s and women’s golf teams return to competition this week at the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Golf Classic at Bears Best Golf Club, hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.
Jackson State’s men’s team will compete against Southern, Chicago State, North Carolina Central, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alabama State. The women’s team will face Delaware State, North Carolina Central, Texas Southern, Southern, Fisk, Chicago State and South Carolina State.

Bears Best Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design. The course uses 18 holes selected from more than 300 courses designed by Nicklaus worldwide, including holes associated with Castle Pines, Muirfield Village, PGA National Championship Course, Sherwood Country Club, Shoal Creek and Gleneagles.
The course was voted among Golfweek’s top 10 courses in Georgia and top 200 residential courses in the United States.
