Hattiesburg police investigate two shootings June 15
Hattiesburg police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred Monday night, June 15, the department said.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Graymont Avenue after a juvenile was struck by gunfire and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the Hattiesburg Police Department said in a Facebook post. A nearby residence and a vehicle also were struck.
At about 10:05 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Myrtle Street where four rounds struck the front of a residence. No injuries were reported, the department said. The incidents are believed to be isolated and unrelated.
