William Carey falls 1-0 to No. 7 Life University

The William Carey men's soccer team lost 1-0 to No. 7 Life University in a road match in Marietta, Georgia, after Life scored the only goal in the 68th minute.

Scoring chances were limited in the first half, with the teams combining for two shots on goal. Life's Andrei Apostu tested William Carey goalkeeper Yago Darub, who made the save. The Crusaders then recorded their lone shot on target of the half when Fernando Pirry challenged Life goalkeeper Pawel Wolny, who stopped the attempt.

The match remained scoreless at halftime. Life increased its offensive pressure after the break and converted in the 68th minute, while William Carey created several late opportunities but could not equalize.

William Carey is scheduled to travel to Dalton, Georgia, on Sunday, Sept. 27, to face Dalton State College. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
