Vicksburg police are investigating after a body was found early Wednesday on a walkway in the 900 block of Washington Street.
At around 6:15 a.m. on July 15, 2026, officers were dispatched after a passerby discovered an unresponsive white man near a building, the Vicksburg Police Department said in a release posted on its Facebook page.
Upon arrival, officers located the individual and confirmed he was dead. The Warren County coroner responded to the scene and has taken custody of the body, the release said.
Investigators are working to determine the cause and manner of death and say the investigation remains ongoing.
