Scott County Sheriff’s Office thanks deputies during National Police Week

During National Police Week, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook thanking current and retired deputies for their service, sacrifices and commitment to the community.

The message praised deputies for long hours, missed holidays and the sacrifices made by officers and their families. It thanked personnel across patrol, investigations, dispatch, corrections and other divisions for helping keep Scott County safe.

The post was signed by Sheriff Mike Lee, Chief Deputy Brad Ellis and Public Information Officer Joshua Thames. It said, “Behind every badge is a story of sacrifice, service, and courage. This National Police Week, we honor them all.”

National Police Week is observed each year to recognize law enforcement officers’ service and sacrifices. The Facebook message also included a note that content may become unavailable if the owner restricts sharing, changes privacy settings or deletes the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
