Scott County Sheriff’s Office honors Julian Parker during National Police Week
During National Police Week, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office paused to remember and honor Julian Parker, saying he “answered every call to serve with courage, integrity and sacrifice.” The office posted the tribute on social media and emphasized Parker’s dedication to protecting the community.
“His dedication to protecting our community will never be forgotten, and his legacy continues to live on through every badge worn at the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and every life he ever touched,” the post said. It added that the office remembers not only the uniform Parker wore but also “the hearts he carried through his career.”
The post was signed by Mike Lee, Sheriff; Brad Ellis, Chief Deputy; and Joshua Thames, public information officer. It included the line, “Heroes live forever in the hearts of those they protected,” attributed to the tribute.
National Police Week is observed annually to honor law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to recognize the service of those who continue to protect their communities. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said it stands with Parker’s family, friends and fellow officers as they carry his memory forward. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
