MSEMA opens five disaster service centers for Arthur survivors
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said it will open five Disaster Service Centers at noon Tuesday, Aug. 18, to serve residents who suffered damage during Tropical Storm Arthur on June 18-20, 2026 (DR-4930-MS).
The centers will provide application assistance to residents in Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River and Stone counties, MSEMA said in a Facebook post. Residents unable to apply in person can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or by using the FEMA App.
MSEMA is the state agency that coordinates emergency preparedness, response and recovery for Mississippi. Disaster Service Centers are intended to give survivors in-person help with federal assistance applications and to answer questions about available resources.
Opening the centers aims to make federal assistance more accessible to affected households as recovery continues. MSEMA included a link to more information on its website. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
