Meridian police investigate reported shooting on 5th Street
MERIDIAN — The Meridian Police Department responded to a 911 call around 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a reported shooting in the 1600 block of 5th Street, police said. Officers arrived within minutes and observed a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said two subjects were taken into custody at the scene and charges are pending. The department described the case as active and ongoing and said the incident appears isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public.
