Biloxi Police Department honors fallen officers during National Police Week
The Biloxi Police Department held a Fallen Officer Memorial Service at the Lopez-Quave Public Safety Center on Tuesday in observance of National Police Week, the department said on its Facebook page. National Police Week is observed each year from May 10–16.
The department said the service honored the dedication, courage and sacrifice of officers who serve and protect communities and specifically remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial recognized fallen officers of the Biloxi department as well as law enforcement officers across the nation who died in the line of duty.
In its post, Biloxi police thanked everyone who joined the service to remember the fallen, honor their service and help keep their legacy alive. The department said the observance is an opportunity to recognize the challenges officers face and to show appreciation for their continued commitment to public safety.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
