Biloxi invites public to Fallen Officer ceremony during National Police Week

The Biloxi Police Department is inviting the public to its annual Fallen Officer Ceremony on May 13 at 10 a.m. at the Biloxi Police Department, 170 Porter Ave., Biloxi, MS 39530, the department said in a Facebook post. The event will honor officers who have died in the line of duty and recognize the service of law enforcement personnel.

Officials said the ceremony will pay tribute not only to the department’s fallen officers but also to law enforcement officers across the nation who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities.

National Police Week runs May 10 to May 16 and is observed nationwide as a time to remember officers who have died in the line of duty and to acknowledge the challenges faced by those who serve. The week often includes memorial services, vigils and community events to show support for public safety personnel.

The Biloxi Police Department encouraged community members to attend the ceremony to honor the fallen and support active officers. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
