The Disaster Service Center serving Alcorn County at the Northeast Community Center, 2759 South Harper Road, will be closed Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a notice posted on Facebook said.
Disaster Service Centers typically provide information, recovery resources and support to residents affected by emergencies and natural disasters. Such centers often act as a local point of contact for federal, state and county assistance programs following severe weather or other events.
