Southern Miss holds spring commencement May 14-16
The University of Southern Mississippi will hold its spring 2026 commencement exercises May 14-16 in Hattiesburg and Biloxi, university officials said. The ceremonies will take place at Bernard Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg and at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
About 1,986 students are candidates for degrees this semester, the university reported. A schedule of individual college ceremonies and access to a livestream of the events are available through the university’s graduation information pages.
University officials warned that, because of a previously scheduled home baseball game on Thursday, May 14, parking availability near Reed Green Coliseum may be limited. Attendees are encouraged to allow extra time for arrival and to follow posted parking and traffic directions.
Southern Miss is a public university with its main campus in Hattiesburg and additional facilities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Commencement is the university’s primary annual event to recognize degree recipients and celebrate academic achievement across undergraduate and graduate programs.
