Hattiesburg police arrested Calvin King, 30, of Hattiesburg, in connection with a crash on Edwards Street that killed a bicyclist. King was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 16, and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, police said.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:47 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 1500 block of Edwards Street, according to police. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle striking a bicyclist. The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.

King is being held at the Forrest County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
