The Jackson Police Department is investigating a homicide in the parking lot of a gas station in the 3200 block of Medgar Evers Blvd., the department said.
Precinct 3 officers responded to a call at 7:22 p.m. and found the body of an unidentified Black woman in the parking lot with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound, according to the department.

Investigators are seeking a gray Honda Accord occupied by a suspect who was unknown at the time of the department’s notice. Anyone with information was asked to contact JPD at 601-960-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
