The Hattiesburg Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the 3900 block of Morningside Drive, where one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers responded at approximately 9:43 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, after reports of a disturbance and shots fired. A suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody without incident, police said. The investigation remains ongoing.
