Ole Miss pair advances to Milwaukee Tennis Classic doubles final

Ole Miss juniors Kai Milburn and sophomore Igor Kudriashov advanced to the doubles final at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic after winning two matches Saturday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Milburn and Kudriashov defeated Will Steinberg and David Fix 6-3 in the quarterfinals, then edged Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault 7-6 in the semifinals.

Milburn also reached the singles final round with a three-set quarterfinal victory over Charlie Spencer, 6-3, 5-7, 10-1, followed by a 6-4, 6-2 semifinal win over Nolan Balthazor.

Kudriashov defeated Chambonniere 2-6, 6-4, 10-3 in the singles quarterfinals before falling to Dussault 7-6, 6-4 in the semifinals.

Milburn and Kudriashov are scheduled to compete in the doubles final Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
