Kudriashov reaches singles quarterfinals at Milwaukee Classic

Ole Miss men’s tennis player Igor Kudriashov advanced to the singles quarterfinals Friday at the Milwaukee Classic after winning two matches in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Kudriashov defeated Nicholas Patrick 6-1, 6-1 in the Round of 32 before beating Oscar Corwin 6-1, 7-5 in the Round of 16.

Kai Milburn also opened the singles tournament with a win, defeating Chen Hui Ho 6-2, 6-3 in the Round of 32. Milburn then lost to Luis Llorens Saracho in the Round of 16, 6-7, 7-6, 1-0.

Kudriashov and Milburn also advanced in doubles, defeating Balthazor and Patrick 6-3 in the Round of 16. The pair entered the tournament ranked No. 58 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings.

The Milwaukee Classic continues Saturday. Kudriashov and Milburn are scheduled to play in the doubles quarterfinals at 8 a.m. CT, followed by Kudriashov’s singles quarterfinal at 10:30 a.m. CT.
