Alcorn State lost 5-0 to the No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in the Lady Braves’ final non-conference match of the season. North Carolina entered the match with a 9-0-1 record.
Alcorn State finished with three shots. Junior Grace Ambrose had two, while Natalie Penniston-John recorded the other.

Bailey Perales started in goal for Alcorn State and made two saves while allowing four goals in 75:55. Renata Da Rosa played the final 14:05 and made one save.
Alcorn State will begin Southwestern Athletic Conference play next Sunday, Sept. 27, at Alabama State in Montgomery, Alabama. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
