Vicksburg police welcome academy graduate Kedric Green

Vicksburg Police Department congratulated Officer Kedric Green on his graduation from the Police Academy, saying he has completed the training required to serve and protect the citizens of Vicksburg.

The department said in a Facebook post that graduating from the academy is a significant achievement that reflects hard work, dedication, discipline and commitment to the law enforcement profession.

Chief Larry Burns, the department’s command staff and members of the Vicksburg Police Department congratulated Green and welcomed him as he begins serving the community, the post said.

Police academy programs generally include instruction in legal procedures, officer safety, defensive tactics and firearms training, along with physical conditioning and scenario-based exercises. Successful completion indicates an officer has met basic state or agency standards for entry-level law enforcement duties.
