Starkville police arrest three in early-morning auto burglary
STARKVILLE, Mississippi — Officers with the Starkville Police Department arrested three people early Wednesday after responding to reports that individuals were pulling on vehicle door handles, the department said in a news release.
Police said they responded about 3:10 a.m. June 10 to Ferndale Manor, 209 Lynn Lane, and located the suspects in a grassy area behind the adjacent complex at 205 Lynn Lane.
Authorities charged Davonta McDonald, 23, of Camden, with auto burglary; Xavier Jackson, 19, of Carthage, with auto burglary; and Keomar Carmichael, 19, of Kosciusko, with auto burglary and possession of a stolen firearm, the release said.
The release noted Jackson is out on felony bond in another jurisdiction for possession of a stolen firearm, and Carmichael is out on felony bond in another jurisdiction for possession of a machine gun conversion device. Detectives are investigating incidents connected to Lakeside Apartments, 1300 Old Highway 12; Oaklyn Apartments, 205 Lynn Lane; and Ferndale Manor, 209 Lynn Lane. Additional charges are expected, the department said.
