Clinton police seek help identifying auto burglary suspect

Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers said in a Facebook post that the Clinton Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect in an auto burglary that occurred June 15, 2026, between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Place in Clinton.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for up to $2,500, the post said. People with tips are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). Tips also can be submitted online at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=116#.

Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers works with local law enforcement to solicit anonymous tips and may offer rewards for information that leads to arrests, the organization says. The Clinton Police Department is the municipal agency responsible for public safety in Clinton, Mississippi.

Police said they are investigating the burglary. Auto burglaries can result in property loss and concern about neighborhood safety, and investigators often rely on community tips to identify suspects and recover stolen property.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
