Brandon police seek help after Cornerstone auto burglary

Brandon Police Department is asking the public for help after an early-morning auto burglary on July 7 in the Cornerstone subdivision in Brandon, Mississippi, the department said.

Surveillance footage captured a Black male burglarizing vehicles, and investigators have identified him as 30-year-old Jevonnte Darvon Taylor of Vossburg, Mississippi, the department said. Taylor is described as about 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds.

Taylor was last seen in the area of Grants Ferry Parkway and Hillcrest Place wearing a mask, a light-colored jacket, dark pants and black and light-colored tennis shoes, according to the department. Authorities said he is believed to be possibly armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500, the department said.
