Scott County Sheriff’s Office honors fathers on Father’s Day
On Father’s Day the Scott County Sheriff’s Office posted a message on its Facebook page thanking fathers and father figures, particularly those who serve in law enforcement, first response and the military.
The post said the office appreciates the sacrifice, leadership and commitment these men show both at home and on the job. It also honored fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers and other father figures for the guidance and strength they provide to families and communities.
The message extended a “Happy Heavenly Father’s Day” to fathers who have died and said life is different without them but would have been different had they never lived. The office noted that the impact of fathers on their families and communities is immeasurable.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is the county law enforcement agency. The post was signed by Sheriff Mike Lee, Chief Deputy Brad Ellis and Public Information Officer Joshua Thames and appeared on the department’s Facebook page.
