Oxford Police Department honors fathers on Father’s Day
The Oxford Police Department on Father’s Day publicly thanked fathers and father figures in its ranks and across the community, saying they appreciate the leadership, strength and support those individuals provide, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department, which serves the local community, offered its gratitude for the ways officers and other fathers balance family responsibilities with public service. The post praised the examples fathers set for their families and neighbors and wished them a safe and happy holiday.
Father’s Day, observed in many countries as a time to recognize paternal roles and contributions, often prompts public institutions and employers to acknowledge staff who are parents or guardians. Police departments and other civic organizations commonly use such occasions to highlight community values and the personal sacrifices of public servants.
The department included hashtags such as #OxfordPD and #FathersDay in its message. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
