Reeves congratulates Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 70 on graduation
Gov. Tate Reeves congratulated Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 70 on their graduation in a Facebook post, saying, “Congrats to Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 70 on your graduation! Mississippi is grateful to you, and we are proud to have you wearing the badge.”
The message highlights the state’s recognition of new troopers who join the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the agency responsible for enforcing traffic laws and promoting safety on state roadways. The patrol also assists during natural disasters, large-scale incidents and other public-safety missions.
Cadet graduations mark the completion of an academy program and the start of field service. New troopers typically undergo a period of supervised duty after graduation as agencies work to integrate them into patrol operations and local communities.
Officials often use graduation ceremonies and public acknowledgments to emphasize recruitment, readiness and community trust in law enforcement. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
