Gov. Reeves, First Lady host Cadet Class 70
Gov. Tate Reeves and First Lady Elee Reeves hosted Cadet Class 70 in Mississippi as the group prepares for graduation, officials said in a Facebook post. With graduation approaching, 54 cadets remain in the class and are preparing to take the next step in serving the people of Mississippi, the post said.
The cadets are part of a state law enforcement training program that prepares recruits for careers in public safety. The post thanked the TAC officers who spent extensive hours training the cadets and credited their leadership with helping shape the next generation of law enforcement in the state.
Officials said they were proud of the cadets’ dedication, discipline and commitment to public safety. Completion of academy training typically leads to field assignments with local, county or state agencies, where new officers begin patrol and community duties.
