Pike County sheriff urges anonymous Crimestoppers tips through P3 link
Pike County Sheriff Wally Jones posted on the department’s Facebook page Monday reminding residents that tips submitted through Crimestoppers are 100% anonymous when sent via the P3 link shared on the agency’s page.
The sheriff’s office said people with knowledge of crimes can submit information online at www.p3tips.com and may be eligible for a reward for information that leads to an arrest or charges. Crimestoppers programs are community-based efforts that encourage public reporting while protecting the identity of those who come forward.
P3 is a technology platform used by many law enforcement agencies to collect anonymous tips, the office said. By directing residents to the P3 link, the sheriff’s office aims to simplify the reporting process and increase community participation in solving local crimes.
The reminder underscores the role of citizen tips in investigations and public safety. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
