Sheriff Wally Jones of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office urged residents on the department’s Facebook page to submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at p3tips.com, saying tipsters may receive a reward if their information leads to a valid arrest.
The post encouraged community members to help “clean up our community” and noted that tipsters remain anonymous. “Law enforcement and Crime Stoppers don’t even know who you are,” the post said, adding that reward payments are available when tips lead to arrests.
Crime Stoppers programs generally allow residents to provide information anonymously and offer monetary rewards when tips result in arrests. Local law enforcement agencies often rely on community information to investigate crimes and solve cases, and anonymity can encourage people to come forward without fear of retaliation.
