Oxford Police head to National LawFit Challenge

The Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post that its LawFit team is heading out to represent the department at the National LawFit Challenge.

The post said months of hard work, dedication and a commitment to fitness have led to this moment and asked the community to wish the officers well as they compete. The department said it is proud of each team member and expects they will represent OPD with professionalism and determination.

The National LawFit Challenge is a national competition that brings together law enforcement personnel to promote physical fitness and officer wellness. Organizers say events like this emphasize the physical readiness and job-related capabilities officers need to perform safely and effectively.

Participation in the challenge highlights the department’s focus on officer health and morale and can offer opportunities to share training practices with other agencies. The Oxford Police Department said it looks forward to the team’s performance and support from the community. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
