Oxford first responders hold diaper drive Aug. 14

The Oxford Police Department and Oxford Fire Department will hold a diaper drive on Aug. 14 to support local families, the police department said in a Facebook post.

Volunteers will collect donations at Kroger from 9 a.m. to noon for the North Mississippi Exchange Family Center, a community organization that provides material assistance and support services to families in north Mississippi.

Organizers said donations of diapers help meet a basic, ongoing need for many households. Diapers are a recurring expense for families with infants and young children, and community drives like this one aim to reduce financial strain and ensure children have essential supplies.

The Facebook post encouraged participation and noted that people who cannot attend can use a QR code to donate directly to the Exchange Center. “Every donation makes a difference,” the department said in the post.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
