Officials address Brookleigh residents at HOA meeting
The Jackson Police Department said it was “an honor to speak to and hear from the residents of the Brookleigh Subdivision” at their homeowners association meeting Monday night at Griffith Memorial Church on Terry Road.
Chief RaShall Brackney joined Councilwoman Lashia Brown-Thomas, Sheriff Tyree Jones and Dist. 4 Supervisor Wanda Evers to address community members, the department said. Precinct 1 Captain Abraham Thompson also attended to answer questions and give updates on policing efforts.
The Jackson Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency that serves the city and often participates in neighborhood meetings to discuss public safety, crime prevention and community concerns. Homeowners association meetings provide a forum for residents to raise local issues directly with elected officials and law enforcement.
Local officials attending such forums aim to increase transparency and community engagement around policing and neighborhood services. Details on topics discussed at Monday’s meeting were not provided in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
