Shepherd leads BMCU at Jacksonville State Foothills Trails
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian University women’s cross country opened its 2026 season Friday at the Foothills Trails hosted by Jacksonville State University, finishing 10th in a 20-team field, the school said.
Sophomore Ella Shepherd led the Toppers, placing 38th with a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 42.8 seconds, the school said. Sophomore Kaedyn Wilson followed in 48th at 20:06.0.
Freshman Ally Moore made her collegiate cross country debut and finished 92nd in 21:51.5, the release said. Sophomore Jorja Kate Mooneyhan took 96th in 22:04.6 and sophomore Ruth Hutchinson finished 97th in 22:07.1, a personal best, the school reported.
Senior Leah Montgomery placed 139th in 25:28.2 and junior Lauren Paul rounded out the BMCU scorers in 152nd with a time of 27:44.4, according to the school. The results were posted by Blue Mountain Christian University in its game release.
