Ocean Springs police, mayor join Lost Pizza yearbook signing
Ocean Springs police officers and Mayor Bobby Cox spent an evening signing yearbooks at Lost Pizza Co.’s annual Yearbook Signing Party, the Ocean Springs Police Department said on its Facebook page.
The post said officers and Mayor Cox chatted with students and families and helped ensure children left with signatures and community connections. The department said the event is part of efforts to strengthen ties between local leaders, first responders and residents.
Lost Pizza Co., a local restaurant that hosted the event, was thanked in the post for continuing the annual tradition. Yearbook signing parties allow students to collect messages from friends and community members as the school year ends and summer begins.
City officials and public safety agencies frequently take part in community events to build positive relationships, the post noted. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
