Ocean Springs police thanked Matt Lachaussee after he dropped off goodies for officers during National Police Week, the department said in a Facebook post.
The Ocean Springs Police Department, which serves the city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, said the gesture provided welcome support for officers and staff. The department described the delivery as thoughtful and said it reinforced the sense of community between residents and those who patrol and protect the city.
National Police Week, observed annually in May, recognizes law enforcement officers and the sacrifices they make. Community acknowledgments such as donations, meals or personal messages often aim to boost morale and underscore public appreciation for first responders.
The department used the social media post to express gratitude to Lachaussee and to highlight community ties. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
