Mississippi public safety group seeks cadets; applications open through Aug. 29

A Mississippi public safety organization is inviting applicants to join its next cadet class, saying applications are open on its website through Aug. 29.

A recent Facebook post promoting the opportunity said: “Inspire the next generation. Serve with purpose. Lead by example. Be the one they look up to. Answer the call. Join our team.” The post included hashtags referencing Mississippi, cadetclass71, public safety and law enforcement.

Cadet programs in public safety typically provide training, mentorship and exposure to law enforcement duties for people considering careers in policing or emergency services. Agencies use cadet classes to develop future officers, strengthen community ties and teach leadership and ethical conduct at an early stage.

The post did not provide additional details about eligibility, training schedules or the specific agency leading the program. Interested applicants are directed to the organization’s website for the application, which closes Aug. 29. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
