Vicksburg Police Department announces hiring drive
The Vicksburg Police Department said in a Facebook post that it is hiring noncertified officers, certified officers and investigators, with an application deadline of Sept. 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The post lists competitive starting pay, career training and development, excellent benefits and opportunities to advance as incentives for applicants. Applications can be picked up at the Vicksburg Police Department or the City of Vicksburg Human Resources Department, the department said.
The Vicksburg Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the city of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Officers and investigators play central roles in community safety, responding to calls for service, conducting investigations and coordinating with other agencies.
Local hiring drives can affect staffing levels, response times and community-police relations, and they provide job opportunities for residents seeking careers in law enforcement. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
