The Hattiesburg Police Department is bringing Popsicles in the Park to Dewitt Sullivan Park at 233 Old Airport Road on Tuesday, July 21, the department said in a Facebook post.
The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and will feature games, cool treats and opportunities for residents to spend time with officers, the post said.
The Hattiesburg Police Department is the city’s primary law enforcement agency. Events like Popsicles in the Park serve as community outreach intended to give families a chance to meet officers in an informal setting and to provide a safe, family-friendly activity during the summer months.
Dewitt Sullivan Park is a local public park that hosts recreational activities for neighborhood residents. The department did not provide additional details about parking, accessibility or whether the event requires registration.
