Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said Disaster Recovery Centers for DR-4899 in Alcorn, Benton, Lafayette, Leflore, Panola and Yazoo counties remain open. The agency said the application deadline is June 10 and that all DRC and DSA locations will close Saturday, May 23.

The agency noted that receiving these benefits will not affect anyone’s Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits. Disaster Survivor Assistance Centers and Disaster Recovery Centers typically help residents apply for disaster aid, answer questions about available resources and provide information on recovery steps following a disaster.
