An updated Facebook post at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday said Zykerian Quentavius Magee has been cleared as a subject in an officer-involved shooting that occurred June 8 at about 3:38 p.m. in Mount Olive, Mississippi.

The post said 19-year-old Cortavion Dewayne Hobbs remains wanted and is believed to be armed and dangerous. Authorities initially issued a Blue Alert seeking both Magee and Hobbs, saying they were believed to be in the area of the 200 block of South Bluff Street in Mount Olive in Covington County.

The post included physical descriptions. It described Magee as a Black male, 19, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 185 pounds, wearing a black hoodie. It described Hobbs as a Black male, 19, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds, wearing a camouflage hoodie. The post urged anyone who sees either person or observes suspicious activity to call 911 immediately.

The post also encouraged anyone with information to contact the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation at 855-642-5378. Blue Alerts are used to quickly notify the public when suspects in attacks on law enforcement are at large. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
