Public asked to help find man wanted in Gulfport drive-by shooting

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help locating Deshawn Marques Reed, who is wanted by the Gulfport Police Department in connection with a drive-by shooting on May 16, 2026, in the 800 block of 34th Street in Gulfport, the organization said.

Crime Stoppers described Reed as a 21-year-old Black male, about 5-foot-11 and 260 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The agency said he should be considered armed and dangerous and that anyone who sees him should not approach him.

Officials ask that anyone with information submit a tip through the P3 Tips app, online, or by calling TIPS. Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers said tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest; to qualify, information must come through Crime Stoppers.

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that works with law enforcement to collect anonymous tips and offer rewards in exchange for information that helps solve crimes. Gulfport is on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, officials said.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
