Lowndes County seeks 68-year-old man for probation violation
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating 68-year-old Maxwell Clifton McCaleb, who is wanted on a probation violation for failing to complete the Pretrial Intervention Program, the agency said in a Facebook post titled “Warrant Wednesday.”
The sheriff’s office provided contact information for tips, asking anyone with information to call (662) 328-6788 or Golden Triangle Crimestoppers at 1-800-530-7151. Tips also may be submitted anonymously through the T3Tips app, the post said.
Crime Stoppers programs generally allow people to provide information anonymously and may offer cash rewards if tips lead to arrests. The sheriff’s office encouraged community assistance in locating McCaleb and said anonymity is guaranteed when using Crime Stoppers channels.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the post noted. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details become available.
