The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that it is hiring for deputy sheriff and correctional officer positions, offering starting salaries of $43,451 and $35,672 per year, respectively.
The office listed benefits that include participation in the Mississippi PERS retirement system, paid vacation and sick leave, paid insurance, health care and prescription coverage, career advancement opportunities and professional training, the post said.
The sheriff’s office, which provides law enforcement and detention services for Lowndes County, said it seeks motivated applicants committed to serving and protecting county residents. The agency said the positions offer competitive pay, benefits and training aimed at supporting long-term careers in law enforcement.
