Lowndes County seeks fugitive on amphetamine trafficking charge
Lowndes County authorities are asking the public to help locate Freddy Cotto Jr. of Oxford, who is wanted on trafficking amphetamine charges, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post titled “Warrant Wednesday.”
Officials asked anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office at (662) 328-6788 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151. Tips also may be submitted anonymously through the T3Tips app, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said individuals who submit tips to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest. The release thanked the community for its continued support in helping keep the county safe.
Trafficking amphetamine is a serious drug offense that generally involves possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the sheriff’s office said.
