Lowndes County seeks fugitive Annie McCall Webb on fentanyl charge

Lowndes County authorities are asking the public for help locating Annie McCall Webb, who is wanted on a charge of possessing fentanyl, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Officials asked anyone with information about Webb’s whereabouts to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at (662) 328-6788 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151. The sheriff’s office also said tips may be submitted anonymously through the T3Tips app.

The post noted that Crime Stoppers will protect a tipster’s identity and that callers may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest. The sheriff’s office thanked the community for its ongoing support in efforts to keep the county safe.

The Facebook post added, “All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.” Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid linked to an increase in overdose deaths nationally, and law enforcement agencies frequently seek public assistance to locate suspects in drug cases. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
