Lee County Sheriff’s Office thanks LEOM for providing Bibles to deputies
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi thanked Bro. Randy Gray and Law Enforcement Officer Ministries for stopping by and providing Bibles for deputies, the agency said in a Facebook post.
Law Enforcement Officer Ministries is a faith-based organization that offers spiritual support to law enforcement officers and their families. Faith-based groups and chaplaincy programs commonly work with police agencies to provide counseling, pastoral care and religious materials.
In its post, the sheriff’s office said, “Your continued support and encouragement for our local law enforcement truly means a lot. We appreciate all that you do!” Community support can affect officer morale and strengthen ties between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
